Can I acheive something similar with my Roland SPD-SX and a basic Midi Keyboard with the SPD-SX housing the sample? The only thing I can think of is making making a bunch of separate samples on the SPD-SX, each 1/2 step up or down in pitch and then assigning each one respectively to the piano keys. I always liked it because you could create strange rhythmic sounds by slowing down or speeding up samples of chimes and things like that. You could just load a sample to a track and bring up the Piano Roll and it would automatically assign it to middle C, then you could just play around with it with a midi controller. This was also something that was easy for me to do years ago when I used FL Studio. So on and so fourth for further up and down the keyboard. Once sampled, if they played the next piano key up, the sample would raise in pitch and speed that whole step up. The other day I was watching videos of people sampling with the OP-1 and playing the sampled sounds with the on-board piano keys.

So far it's been doing me well and I've become pretty well versed in it's midi functionality.
